Take part in the “Goldeck Man”, a cross triathlon in the amazing nature park of
“Weißensee” in the middle of the Carinthian mountains.
After swimming ( 1000m ) in the crystal-clear water of the “Weißensee”,
you run up the mountain ( 11,5 km ) to the “Eckwandsattel” (1500 HM), and keep on running until you reach changing zone 2, which is
below the top of the Goldeck mountain. There you get on your mountain bike
and start the 30 km race with a difference in altitude of 900 m.
You ride your bike to the “Martennock”, which is 2000 m above sea level, and race down the “Forest Gump Trail” to the beautiful “Farchtensee”. From there you go on riding your bike until you reach the FINISH at the bathing beach of
“ Stockenboi” on the eastern bank of the “Weißensee”.
The Austrian champions Michi Szymoniuk and Martina Donner took part in the
“Goldeck Man” successfully, last year.
Nevertheless, everybody, who is fit enough, is invited to take part in the competition.
Specialists may take part in a relay competition and fight for the “Goldeck Team Cup”.
2009 the “Kelag Winners” won the relay.
The “Goldeck Man 2010” is really attractive and fair for all ages.
There is a bike shuttle to changing zone 2, there are refreshing points, bike
service spots and lots of interesting prizes.
Attention please! The only way to get to the eastern bank of the “Weißensee”
is through the village of “Zlan” and the valley of “Stockenboi”.
Sporty regards and see you soon!
